This document outlines the process for nominating candidates for membership on the National Council on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (NCGBVF). It serves as a guide to ensure that the selection of members is fair, transparent, and inclusive, in line with the Declaration from the Presidential Summit Against GBVF. The NCGBVF is mandated to lead and coordinate efforts to combat gender-based violence and femicide, including setting national priorities, promoting accountability, and fostering partnerships. It aims to have a diverse composition, with a significant portion of its members drawn from civil society. The document details the qualifications, competencies, and experience required for nominees, emphasising expertise in GBVF, gender rights, and activism, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across sectors. Through this process, the NCGBVF seeks individuals who will contribute to the continued implementation of the National Strategic Plan on GBVF.
