Pillar Dialogues Report

This document outlines the progress, challenges, and recommendations of the National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (NSP-GBVF) in South Africa. It covers key interventions across six pillars: Accountability, Coordination, and Leadership; Prevention and Rebuilding Social Cohesion; Justice, Safety, and Protection; Response, Care, Support, and Healing; Economic Empowerment; and Research and Information Management Systems. These pillars focus on strengthening services, improving community responses, and addressing economic disparities. The report highlights achievements such as the establishment of women-owned businesses, awareness campaigns, and advancements in research. Key challenges include inconsistent funding, gaps in inter-sectoral collaboration, and barriers to accessing resources. Recommendations for further action emphasise acceleration, integration, and amplification of interventions, with a strong call for strategic cohesion and evidence-based approaches to support GBV victims and survivors.
